don’t cut out the fruits, unless of course you are allergic to them. He didn’t say fruit is bad, he said juicing is bad because they strip out all of the nutrients.

I stopped juicing …
I stopped juicing altogether. I believe we are to eat our fruit and vegetables the way God has designed them to be and that is to eat them raw or mildly cooked whole and fresh as possible. Juicing can lead to sugar spikes and lead to insulin resistance. When you juice fruit, you are injuring your pancreas receptor cells which in the long run reduces the manufacturing of insulin.

It totally depends …
It totally depends on how much other starch and sugar sources you are taking in throughout the day with the fruit and how weak your ability to produce insulin / absorb blood sugar into the cell.

i got a question
i …
i got a question
i eat organic fruits everyay,atleast 3 apples a day.
can that lead to diabetes?
also idont drink juice at all,no soda nor milk, only water.
June 30th, 2009 at 7:02 am
I make and drink …
I make and drink fresh organic apple / carrot juice with hemp protein powder in it every day. I also drink Wheatgrass juice, which is a superfood. Your body absorbs the vitamins and nutrients from juice directly into the blood stream, because it does not have to digest the whole food. Your body also conserves energy from not having to digest it. Juice can be very beneficial to health, but most of the juice beverages consumed contain HFCS and this is directly linked to diabetes.

processed foods …
processed foods contain no fiber, will cause glucose/insulin spikes, will lead to type 2 diabetes.
Eat unprocessed and WHOLE food.
Still diabetic = (
June 30th, 2009 at 7:02 am
Type 2 diabetes is …
Type 2 diabetes is rooted on insulin resistance caused by blood sugar spikes leading to insulin dumps, and then resistance. Obesity is also a side effect of this kind of reckless eating – obesity is not the cause of diabetes.
Dietary fiber controls your body’s absorption of glucose(fructose and sucrose are broken down into glucose) – this naturally prevents your blood sugar from spiking, causing insulin dumps, and ultimately, resistance.

of course most …
of course most people should not have a blood sugar crash from eating a apple, I was never saying a person would.
June 30th, 2009 at 7:02 am
As with all fruit …
As with all fruit the calories available will change with the size of the fruit, I can copy and paste examples of sources that say apples are 45 cals, 55 calories, whatever. The point is that not all crashes are caused by blood sugar some are purely from a caloric deficit, not having eaten enough to carry the person with their caloric output. I used a fruit (not apple) of about 35 calories as an example, though the caloric content of apples is beside the point, which is the caloric deficit.

Healthy ppl can eat all the apples they want without “crash.”
If hungry, eat more. The more you eat, the more calories u gain. u are NOT exempt from the first law of thermodynamics. There is no apple magic, much less curse.

off my rocket? no …
off my rocket? no body mentioned malnutrition but you just now.
what I am suggesting and apparently it’s big concept for you, is that what is a “crash” caused by not enough caloric intake for caloric output is being misread as a sugar crash.

You’re off on a …
You’re off on a rocket. Nobody is talking about malnutrition. The topic of the video & this thread is fruit/diabetes. If u need more food, eat more food. The ‘crash’ the host was referring to had to do w/his misperceived sugar rush (unless he has hyperglycemia). I am not alone in regularly eating apples before & after juice/other fruit w/NO “crash.”
The assumed “human variability”/intolerance of small amts of fruit has more to do w/insulin resistance not blood types or astrology signs.
