Would this daily regime make me lose weight?
I’d really like to lose maybe 3 pounds.
My school has this great smoothie its just Acai Berries Strawberries and Bananas and ice.. Would eating this smoothie daily plus exercise help me lose weight?
Well it would be a good start in the right direction. Although you have a bare in mind that eating anything daily will not help you lose weight – it’s the big picture that counts. If you have a smoothie a day you will be getting a good intake of fruit and maybe yoghurt – plus it’s filling so you can possibly have it as a small meal. You do however need to look at everything else you’re eating aswell. There’s no point eating one healthy thing a day and the rest isn’t so good. Make sure you’re eating at least 2 other pieces of fruit and plenty of veges with your dinner or lunch. Eat brown bread if you can as white break is rubbish, 2 or 3 slices a day is ok. Also try to have 2 cuts of red meat a week and 2 of white.
A little bit of fat and sugar is ok but limit it. For example if you eat a packet of chips daily then quit that habit – cut it down to once a week. Take up eating nuts and grains instead. Sounds boring as bat s**t I know but trust me – you’ll feel a million bucks after 2 weeks of eating healthy
As for exercise – it’s vitally important!! Try to do 3 lots of 20 minute sessions a week where you are sweating and getting your heart rate up (jogging, aerobics, boxing) and do another 3 exercise sessions of maybe walking or swimming. Have one rest day every week aswell
Good Luck

Mandy,
It would definitely aid in the process. It’s quite a healthy shake, and a little exercise can go a long way. But what will you be eating throughout the day? That’ll be another big fact in how effective this technique will be for actually losing weight.
I wish you the best of luck, take care!

The thing with smoothies is they aren’t particularly good for losing weight. Most mall smoothies have almost 1000 calories. Don’t know about your school… but I wouldn’t count on them being good for keeping your weight in check. Exercise yes, smoothy.. no

Along with pooping enough, it should work.

Well it really depends on how much you exercise or what other foods you eat. If you eat more junk than healthy foods, and exercise for only a short period of time, then no, that smoothie won’t do you squat. You also have to think of your weight now and if losing 3 pounds will be practical.
Calculate your body mass index first to see if you’re actually over weight.
