Acai Berry and Diabetes


We all have been reading about the high percentage of people now afflicted with type 2 diabetes. Though there are diets advertised everywhere obesity is still rising. One of the solutions for this problem could be the combination of acai berry and diabetes in lowering one’s blood sugar. There are many proven results that acai berry though healthful for many reasons is also a blood sugar lowering fruit.

The acai berry has been proven to help regulate insulin which in turn will control blood sugar from spiking. There are many other nutritious foods that do the same thing especially beans. Acai berries are tasty, come in many forms and flavors which makes it very a very desirable food.

Acai berries are not a substitute for diabetes medication. The acai berry has been known to improve the immune system which is often weakened by this disease. This is of benefit to all of us regardless of our health situation. This one little berry seems to have so many benefits.

There is more than one reason for the compatibility of the acai berry and diabetes. With each serving of acai berries you are receiving a necessary requirement for a healthy diet. The claims from people range from feeling energetic, looking better and even losing some weight. To top it off they are getting many necessary vitamins and minerals required for a healthy body.

Over the past years the University of Florida has been doing a lot of research on the acai berry. The berry was found to destroy 86% of leukemia cells in a laboratory study. Perhaps our next discovery will be a more definitive connection between the acai berry and diabetes.
