It killed the bacteria. It is safe for food. As I said before, cooking the food normally will destroy more nutrients than irradiation or pasteurization.

First, thanks for …
First, thanks for this video. I plan to get some of the “Bom Dia” (usually pronounced “bowm gia” (like the “j” sound in “judge”). Also, if you spell açai withOUT the cedilla under the “c” (i.e., “acai”, it would be pronounced “a-Kah-ee”, so make sure you type or write in the “ç” to make an “ss” sound.

If you want …
If you want antioxidants, just eat a regular red delicious apple. Save your money and buy stuff you really need instead of an overpriced “superjuice.”
According to a major study by Choice, the publication of the Australian Consumers Association, Acai measured almost as well as the best goji juice, with a TAC of 1,800, or about 31% as much as a common apple.
Google for “skeptoid acai” and read about the science behind the “superjuices.”

I would say that …
I would say that food that has been irradiated or pasteurized have slightly less nutrients (still tons more than the nutrition loss from cooking it) and has FAR less number of bacteria..

Keep in mind, any …
Keep in mind, any food which is irradiated or pasteurized has FAR less enzymes and nutrients than food which is fresh. Which category do the juices you tasted fall under?
