Is Acai berry supplement compatible with breastfeeding?

My brother has been taking acai berry for 2 1/2 weeks and has lost 12 pounds so far…I would like to know if it is safe for breastfeeding moms to use. I tried looking on the kelleymom.com website but I found nothing. Does anyone know??

NO. THIS IS A SCAM. They are not FDA approved and could potentially harm your baby. You shouldn’t take these things even if you aren’t breastfeeding. If you want to drop the weight, diet and exercise. There is no other safe way to do it. No miracle drug. No Short cuts. They lie on those sites. They just want you money. Cut your caloric intake and exercise.

eghhh… probably not. Any dietary supplement is probably a no go. Ask your OB. Your breastfeeding is the best work out you could be doing right now by the way… you burn WAY more calories breast feeding than running a mile.

I have a 2 year old son, 1 year old daughter, and one on the way! :) Plus, breast fed both and plan going a year or more with baby # 3!
