you need to read more. He signed a MEMORANDUM, NOT an executive order which is near worthless for rights that were ALREADY available to gay employees. That memo gave nothing new to gay feds. Big deal on “backing” some bill for further benefits. Why hasn’t he had it introduced? He backed the repeal of DOMA while defending it in court worse than Bush would have done…he hasn’t done shit!

Let’s see, he just signed an executive order giving federal employees same sex partners benefits, and he just backed up a bill to give same sex partners pensions and federal health insurance, not to mention he just concretely backed the repeal of DOMA. That’s more than any president has done for the gay community in decades. Don’t be ungrateful.

Hey just bear with me angry people. Did it ever occur to you that being president was a hard job. Or that maybe congress would not vote for a gay rights plan. I am a firm supporter of gay rights but i do not think that there is enough support yet for something so great to be passed. Mr. OBama has been working his off on other things and has only been in office 5 freaking months.
